Taiwan Tours Highlights

One special characteristic of Koh Khai Nok is that it has at least twelve types of exotic tropical fish and they aren't afraid of humans. With your flight instructor, the full-fledged simulators allow you to experience take-off, cruising in the sky and landings for two Boeing planes from the control seat in the cockpit. Taiwan has got so much going for it and so much going against it. The elephant in the room casts a long shadow over what is a thriving democracy and its warm and hospitable people.
The stated position for Fo Guang Shan is that it is an “amalgam of all Eight Schools of Chinese Buddhism. We start by going to the Welcoming Hall of the Museum, a well-established commercial centre, 地瓜酥 peddling everything from food to jewellery to souvenirs etc. Apparently the museum is beyond the eight Chinese-styled pagodas on either side of the main avenue leading up to the Bodhi Square.

Kids can test their building skills at the Creative Workshop, and can even tour the LEGO® factory and take a ‘fresh’ piece of LEGO® home as a souvenir. An additional perk of visiting for Australians is seeing Miniland, where you can see more than 18 of Japan’s most iconic sights recreated by 10,496,352 LEGO® pieces. The Chimei Museum is an impressive structure, housing an impressive private collection of some 4000 items. The outside space of the museum is an artwork on itself, you can walk around for free and view the various sculptures, fountains, ponds and gardens. The exhibits include animal and bird taxidermy and fossils, weapons and armour, musical instruments, ancient clocks and Western art. We spent a couple of hours viewing the exhibits, but this remarkable collection, so very well presented deserves more like a full day.
You can find the venue 40 kilometres away in Taitung. Located in Taitung City, Taitung Bali Suites Hotel is within a 20-minute drive of Taitung Airport and provides a Jacuzzi. Guests can also enjoy complimentary internet access in all areas. New Bay Hotel provides a comfortable setting while in Taitung City. Those staying at the property can also make use of complimentary Wi-Fi. Cozy Blue B&B is set in Taitung City and is within a 10-minute walk of Taitung Railway Station.
It’s been a while since I returned from my fourth trip to Taiwan earlier this year and I’m ready to share with you my 9 Days Taiwan Itinerary around Taichung. Hui will also join the expo as a slash streamer with foreign influencers to market Taitung during the event. We like the tour, however you need to go to the tour bus earlier to get the seats if the couple want to seat together. Dulan - this artistic community is centered around an old Sugar Mill and offers both surfing and swimming opportunities at the nearby beach. Hualien Bus and Dingdong Inland Bus offers transfers between Hualien and Taitung, with the journey taking 4.5 hours and costing NT$250. Taitung Airport is the closest regional domestic airline and is available by connection from Taiwan International Airport.

Stay tuned to Part 2 Central Taiwan Itinerary where I’ll show you our successful revisit of Hehuanshan and Cingjing Farm. By noon, we were back at Cingjing or specifically Green Green Grassland‘s carpark. The foggy situation didn’t improve even at a lower altitude. With no views to speak of, it didn’t make sense to enter the farm as admission fee applies. This train and everything else at Carton King is made out of cardboardNow, what else can we do in Cingjing at night? We returned to Mist Plaza, had our MOS Burger dinner, bought some drinks and snacks from 7-11 and checked into our B&B for the next two nights, at Guanghu Siji Minsu B&B(觀湖四季).
The time and logistics would be challenging if we tried to visit so many places by ourselves. All hotels we stayed are  4 to 5 stars with great breakfast buffet. The tour guide Alan Zhou is very knowledgeable, experienced and helpful. We are delighted to learn that you were satisfied with Michael and the driver’s service, and enjoyed the 5-day round island tour especially the hotels. We look forward to serving you again in the near future. We have visited many beautiful scenic areas, a famous monastery, few temples, night markets and National Parks in Taiwan.

Our guide Eric showed us educational videos which were helpful for me to better appreciate the history of the sites we visited. I would definitely recommend this tour for a good overview of the country at a reasonable price. We are delighted to learn that you were satisfied with the attractions, transportation, etc.
You get to see beautiful coastlines, mountains and Taroko Gorge. Don't hesitate to take tour as it is a great way to see the best of the island for a great price. Our driver, Eason was experience and smooth, making you feel safe on the twisty roads. The tour guide Alan Chou was professional, kind and funny. However, it would be nice if we can spent more time in other interesting places in Kaohsiung. God light temple is nice but half day seems a bit too long.

City buses offer transportation around the city, while the East Coast Scenic Area shuttle covers surrounding areas. You can rent a car at Taitung Airport, about eight kilometres from the city centre. The old railway station in town plays host to Taitung Railway Art Village, which features rainbow-coloured paper lanterns and the works of local artisans. Pick up handicraft souvenirs and check the schedule for live aboriginal music shows. Visit Ata Aboriginal Culture Craft to watch handmade glass bead creation and to buy textiles, bead art and leather goods. Pisces Youth Hostel is set in Taitung City and is within a short walk of local attractions, such as Fu An Gong.
Longteng Bridge was damaged by earthquake in 1935After we managed to escape from the jam, we drove past Zhongshe Seaflower, Lihpao Discover Land and Huludun Park. The initial plan was to stop by to visit some of these attractions. However, both of  us were battling hard with the zzz monster. In the end, I couldn’t take it and fell asleep leaving the poor driver alone to suffer from the side effect of the red-eye flight. Only hiccup today came as we travelled into Taipeh’s Sonshan and got within a stone’s throw of it before realising we had pinpointed the wrong airport and it should have been Taoyuan.
