The Palace Museum responded that they would work hard for the better. These original lipsticks went viral and some colors were sold out in a single night. Most of all exhibitions are also in English though unfortunately not all interactive tools worked in the English version. Still, this place is more than worth a visit even though it’s a bit remote . The area and the museum itself are quite small in number of visitors which might be different if school classes are around.
Browse the local markets in your destination and snag a few bags of spices, then store them in decorative glass spice jars when you return home. Of course, you’ll want to abide by any local laws that may prohibit taking these items. I’m talking about those unique handcrafted items that are worn by locals and made by locals. Or, if you want to impress your guests while you regale them with your best travel tales, wheel out some exotic booze on an old-world-style bar cart. Another idea is to collect charms by travel themes, such as aeroplanes, globes, boats, or famous landmarks.
If you have your own wheels, also consider making the trip to Wuling Green Tunnel (武陵綠色隧道), one of several “green tunnels” across Taiwan. Also read about the more famous Sicao Green Tunnel in Tainan. Luye Highlands, which can be reached on a 30-minute scooter ride from Luye, are the site of the famous Taitung International Hot Air Balloon Festival every summer. Witnessing the festival, or riding in one of the ballons, is one of the top experiences to be had in Taitung. From Taitung Forest Park, the trails connect all the way to the sea via Green Tunnel Bridge (綠水橋). Called Taitung Seaside Park (台東濱海公園), the coast here is lined with an expansive black sand beach.

It can definitely make your travels simpler if you don’t have to worry about carrying any particularly heavy or delicate purchases home with you. Note the trip and date of purchase on your Italy souvenirs. Magnets are one of the most popular souvenirs to collect from around the world and often run only a few Euro apiece. In addition to rosaries, icons and crucifixes are also popular religious souvenirs from Italy.
Beautiful stationery is one of the best things to buy in Italy, and Florence and Venice are especially known for it. He tradition extends beyond the Amalfi Coast, and you’ll find these souvenir options in Tuscany, as well. (Not that there’s anything wrong with sticking to a budget if that’s what’s in your price range, though–Jeremy’s fairly inexpensive Italian wallet has been with us for many years now). With options raising in price from roughly 3 Euro to thousands, some version of this Italian souvenir is an option for everyone. One of our personal favorite souvenirs from Italy is our hand-painted jar from the Amalfi Coast. While coffee bars are an enormous part of Italian coffee culture, moka pots–the pots that Italians make their coffee at home in–are also a huge part of the culture.

With two nights, base yourself in one of the towns I recommend for two nights and explore the region by scooter or bicycle. Or choose a different town for each night – Yuli , Chishang, Guanshan, and Luye all have gorgeous rural scenery, but each has its own vibe.
Night market is a must visit place if you are in Taitung and Taiwan in general, no questions asked. Taitung night market is not as big as I expected but still good place to have local snacks. Apparently they do not open on Sunday (?) so we’re glad that we came here on Saturday.
The city’s biggest green space,Taitung Forest Park, is situated right at the edge of town. The park spans several kilometers and features various trails, ponds, and diverse vegetation. A highlight here is the thick forest of beefwood trees, where you’ll find the beautiful Pipa Lake. It’s a great place to spend some time in nature, and renting a bike is a fun way to explore all the trails. Not only is Taitung a wonderful destination in itself, it's also a great gateway to Taiwan's east coast, whether you visit in the middle of a road trip, or use it as the jumping-off point for one.
