The service is impeccable as a 5 star hotel, without the steep price. The staff helped put our luggage in the room, hail a taxi in the early morning, and the concierge helped with restaurant reservations. Guests at New Otani Hakata Hotel can receive relaxing massages at an extra cost, or rent bicycles to explore the city.
But it turned out to be one of my two favorite bowls of Hakata ramen in Fukuoka. In fact, based on taste alone, it may have been my favorite. The broth is incredibly rich and creamy and simply delicious. For me, it’s one of the best ways to learn about an unfamiliar cuisine. We got the set with the motsunabe and added on horse meat tartare and it was delicious! Everything was so good, the vibe was really great, it's a small place so definitely gotta come early. Motsunabe restaurant in Fuokuoka specializes in hot pot dishes with  beef or pork entrails.
