Take the steps down from Clark Park – you’ll know you’re in the right place when you spot the first sculptures peeking through the plants. Arrive at low tide, and you can walk right down to the rock shelf. Away from the coast, the Great River Walk in Penrith is an easy trail suitable for walking, bikes and prams, with lovely views over the Nepean River and Blue Mountains. There are plenty of places to break up the journey, like overwater platforms, playgrounds and picnic spots.

It’s the world’s most significant collection of Chinese contemporary art. But, if you need to drive, there is some paid parking near Bondi Pavillion, but it’s about $10 an hour. Tip – While lifeguards patrol Bondi, the waves can be strong and are not ideal for very young children. If you have young kids, consider visiting Camp Cove or Shelly Beach instead.
There will also be opportunities to try French wine and other delicious delicacies that will make you feel like you’re on the streets of Paris. It’s free, funky and in one of our favourite parts of Sydney CBD. Jazz Sessions in the Rocks is a celebration of Australian jazz with live performances taking place in across the precinct.

Head into the trees for some fun and adventure, featuring flying foxes, zip lines & more at TreeTop Adventure Park Sydney! It is also one of the best places to stay in Sydney, so you after your meal you can retreat to your room with a stunning view of Sydney Harbour. The winner of the best view of the South  Coast has to go to Stanwell Tops. This patch of grass at the southern end of Royal National Park has an incredibly view of the Sea Cliff Bridge and Wollongong in the distance. It then carries along the cliff side to Eagle Rock and a waterfall that goes straight into the sea.

Besides the fact it has the best views in Sydney, there’s also free live music every night and on weekend afternoons. It’s a popular spot for tourists and locals alike, so we recommend making a reservation or getting here early (i.e., before 5 pm!). Located just a short ferry ride from Circular Quay, Taronga Zoo🐨 offers a chance to see Australia’s unique wildlife and stunning views of Sydney’s skyline.
There’s also a sky-high ropes adventure course, offering gorgeous views of Sydney Harbour. Garigal is a protected national park in the North Shore region of Sydney. Sydney is known as one of the southern hemisphere’s best destinations for nightlife, and for good reason. It’s a reminder of a cruel way of life that would be considered terrible by today’s standards; but it’s also wonderfully refreshing and full of hope when you consider how far we’ve come. Manly is a relaxed beachside suburb, a short (and gorgeous!) ferry ride away from Sydney’s city centre.
Elizabeth Macquarie is said to have sat here longing for home and looking out to sea for boats bringing new life to the colony. Most of Sydney’s beaches and ocean pools are free – here’s where locals go for the perfect day out. Kids will also love the snakes and spiders, as well as the saltwater crocodile Rocky (originally from Rockhampton in Northern Queensland). You can also have your photo taken with a koala, and grab a bite to eat at the Koala Rooftop Café.

Some of the best walks in Sydney include the Bondi to Bronte coastal walk and the gorgeous four-hour Spit Bridge to Manly trail.
