My passion for early education stems from the opportunity to be creative, make a meaningful impact, and build strong community relationships. The Child Care Subsidy (CCS) is a government-funded support that helps families reduce the out-of-pocket cost of childcare. At Little Stars, we encourage families to apply through myGov before starting care. The amount you receive depends on your family income, activity level (work, study, or volunteering), and the type of care your child attends. Every child’s journey is overseen by accredited, friendly, caring, and attentive educators.
Our evidence-based Rhythm and Movement for Self-Regulation (RAMSR) program is designed to develop fundamental skills that help support children’s self-regulation, memory, and concentration. It is an innovative approach to holistic learning, development and well-being in early childhood. My daughter has been attending daycare since she was 6 months old, and we have been through around four different centres.
Pakenham's childcare and kindergarten indoor rooms connect seamlessly with the outdoor yard area, which allows the children to explore and play, supporting their overall learning experience. Aspire Pakenham’s outdoor facilities include different playground areas, a cubby house, veggie gardens, bike paths, sand pits, and dry creek beds. Additionally, our programs actively promote the message of environmental consciousness and sustainability. At Aspire Pakenham, children explore and connect with their local community through fun and meaningful experiences. From learning about safety and local services to welcoming visits from familiar community members, our programs help children feel confident, included, and engaged. I feel confident leaving my child there each day, knowing she’s being cared for, nurtured, and supported in her learning.
We also provide children with learning opportunities through music, movement and dance. Outside, we have natural, open and multipurpose play spaces where children can play on climbing equipment, tackle obstacle courses and explore vegetable gardens. We also offer fun excursions to John Henry Primary School where children can take part in Wellness Wednesdays and Fit Fridays, which supports their physical and mental wellbeing. For children with additional needs or behaviours of concern, we collaborate with inclusion support professionals, allied health teams, and our Kindergarten Improvement Advisor. These partnerships help us apply for additional support, develop strategies, and create inclusive, nurturing environments where all children can thrive.

Kindergarten is an exciting phase for both children and families, and our goal at Pakenham Kindergarten is to ensure everyone leaves with cherished and joyful memories.
It’s a secure way for families to feel part of the learning journey, no matter where they are. I had my son here and he absolutely loved it, the 4 year old kinder room is so engaging, always fun, calm and inviting. Lekan is so welcoming and informative, even the 3 year old kinder room has come along way from when we first started. Kalpani and Sunil are always seen engaging in group time as we walk in, making the room calm for drop off's, thank you. I also want to say a big shout out to Linda the Acting Centre Manager for running the centre on her own the past 6 months, you are always so positive to the parents, teachers, and children. They really respect you, us as parents can see, and my son just adores you, we will miss coming here, as we leap in to school this year.
